Daily Painting, Small Oil Painting, Wildlife Painting, Bird Art, 6x8" Robin in Oil

I think we are all ready to put this whole ugly winter behind us and what says spring better than a robin?  When I was a kid growing up in northern Ohio, I always anxiously awaited the return of robins, knowing winter was gone when they came.  I wondered where they spent the winters....now I know....North Carolina!

Well, anyway, that is where this bird spent the winter and where my photographer friend, Ted Fuhrer snapped an image of him.  Thanks for allowing me to use it, Ted.

I really like this in a chunky black frame!

Thanks for reading my blog today.  I hope you see a robin in your tree.

Wildlife Painting, Small Oil Painting, Daily Painting, "Gray Squirrel" by Carol Schiff, 6x8" Oil

Have you ever tried to photograph wildlife?  I have, and consider it an exercise in frustration.  Many blurred images later, my friend and photographer, Ted Fuhrer, offered me the use of his images.  Thanks so much, Ted.

This little guy looks very inquisitive and ready to bolt at the least movement.

I enjoyed experimenting with painting his fur and directing the viewer's eye.  The animal is much the same color as the background in this scene.

I put it in one of my black frames.  They seem to work perfectly for just about any painting.

Happy day to you!

He captured an image of this inquisitive blue jay.

I like the effect of this chunky black frame.  It really makes an impact on the wall and black frames always make color pop.

Have a great day and thanks for reading my blog today.

I remember the day, I visited the beach with my smallest grandson, and found this little guy running around in the sand.  He didn't seem to mind when I took several photos of him.  The original painting found a home immediately.

When I found this in my files, I thought it would be perfect for a child's room, a bathroom or a laundry room.

Thanks for reading my blog today and have a wonderful day!

Horse Painting Giclee Print, Daily Painting, Small Oil Painting, Horse Fine Art Print

My first post on this blog!  How exciting!

You may know that I am a daily painter and I wanted a blog dedicated to my paintings of birds and animals, both wildlife and domesticated.  So, here we go!

I love this horse painting! The color of the horse, against the green background, just make this piece vibrate!

The original has sold, so I am offering a giclee print on watercolor paper today.  I only have two in stock, a 8x10" and a 11x14", and they are listed at very special prices.  Click on the link above to purchase and also to read the description.  These two prints have a tiny flaw, you probably wouldn't notice if I didn't tell you.  For that reason, they are listed at very low price!

Thanks for viewing my blog today!
