Daily Painting, Oil, "The Gull", 6x8" SOLD

If you live close to the sea, these guys are a part of your everyday life.  This one looks a little serious, like he has a job to do and is going to get it done.

When my grandson was four, we went to the beach for a picnic.  When I casually mentioned to him that the sea gulls were after his sandwich, he gobbled it down.  Unfortunately, he didn't want to go to the beach for years afterwards.  The mere mention of the "beach" conjured up thoughts of a bird attack ala Alfred Hitchcock!  Bad Grandma!!

Clients often ask, if the texture shows on a giclee print.

This client, was kind enough to send me an image, which answers that question.

She is so happy, with her 36x48" framed giclee, which we shipped direct to her Florida  condo.

Available in the size of your choice.

STALKING EGRET,6x8, OIL, SOLD

I think waterbirds are so interesting to watch. Here in Florida we have such a large variety of them. I would not attempt to name them all, but I'm pretty sure this is an egret, maybe even a Snowy Egret. I think they are one of the prettier birds around and when they have their plumes up they are almost as showy as a peacock.
I enjoyed painting this little piece, especially layering on the thick creamy paint on his back. Almost as good as eating ice cream!
